..My topic for this day is about gossiping..
You're probably already "used" to the word GOSSIP.
Gossiping is an idle talk or rumors, especially, about the personal or private affairs of others. ( Wikipedia )

What are the effects of gossip?
a. Hurts a person
Someone has said, "The only time people don't like gossip is when the gossip is not about them." We feel betrayed, humiliated, upset and hurt when we know that somebody has gossiped about us. As Proverbs 26:22 says, "The words of a talebearer are as wounds."
b. destroys friendship
Gossip destroys friendship. It causes quarrel. Proverbs 16 verse 28 says, "Gossip separates the best of friends.
How to stop a gossip..
Proverbs 26:20 gives us an answer on how to stop a gossip, "Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel lies down." A gossip dies down when you don't add fuel to it by not listening and participating in the chitchat.

Winston Churchill attended an official ceremony. Two gentlemen behind him began whispering. "That's Winston Churchill. They say he is getting senile. they say he should quit running the nation." When the ceremony was over, Churchill turned to the men and said, "Gentlemen, They also say that he is deaf!"
My friend, let's be deaf when it comes to gossip but be alert when God speaks.
