In a competition, there are people whom we call the champions of the game and also, people who lack the luck of winning. The real essence of competing is building up unity among the members and not just merely proclaiming yourself as a victor.

Busy.Busy.Busy
Three words that would describe my sweet Saturday. It was also the time that our team would stand up on stage, singing and dancing. Half the day, we practiced our choreography and our song. the other half was intended for our make-up session and preparation. Everything was set when the clock strike five. We took quite a little number of photographs of our dear selves. Then, we proceeded on our last two practice.
We went to the oval plaza fifteen minutes before six. I never felt my heart beating so fast. I wasn't nervous.. Maybe because I'm immune in these kind of things? We were the first one to present. The first years, were both excited and I can feel that there hearts beat fast like that of a running jaguar.
During the presentation, I never expected that there would be tons of people that'll give us a nice warm applause . With that, I know they enjoyed our presentation and LOVED it. We made them smile. Dad, my mom and some of my classmates told me that our presentation never bored them. It was fun and they thought we would win. That's what I thought too. But, God is generous. He gave the others the chance to prove their selves. The Victors were from Holy Trinity College, 1st runner-up goes to MSU, 2nd Runner-up goes to... (sorry.. I'm suffering from memory loss. so as usual, I forgot about the name of the school) and the last place goes to us-SPED.
Even though, we weren't victorious, at least we did our best. It does not mean that if a man loses in a game, then he'll remain a loser till eternity. Everyone has his own time to shine. We all possess both the beauty and the grace within ourselves. What matters most, is the way we apply it for the justness of our lives and for others also. Never learn to give up if you know you have a chance. Winning is just a single glimpse away.
You're right. What's important is that you did your best. Agree talaga ako sa last paragraph mo. :)

Hi Lolli-Pii,
ReplyDeleteIn my book you will always be a winner. You have a healthy attitude towards winning and losing. You did not feel bitter about losing. That's a very good attitude. God will bless you more for it. Just keep on trying and someday you will be a winner too. Thanks for the post. God bless you always my young friend.
